Description
We love this! Rare and collectible ‘Prince Valiant’ single stitch tee. Made in USA by ‘Watermark Workers’. This is a promotional tee made for ‘Fantagraphics Books’ to market their mid 90s catalog collections. It features cover art from Volume 4 ‘The Menace of the Hun’ by Hal Foster (1988). The screened plastisol chest print is still super vibrant and in great condition. Also featured is the ‘Fantagraphics Books’ block logo and the WW of ‘Watermark Workers’ to the right sleeve. These logos being present together, and the removal of the original blank tag, signify that this is a collaborative promotional tee produced for Fantagraphics by WW. This one has single stitching to the sleeves, with double stitching to the hem, placing it, along with the artwork, in the post 1994 transitional period between single and double stitch manufacturing. Fabric feels like a mid weight 100% cotton (no composition label attached, so this is based on feel alone). Tee is in great vintage condition, one tiny spot to the front right shoulder and one very small imperfection/pull to the back (see pics). A couple of small print spots near the bottom left corner of the print, but these look like they’re just slight imperfections from printing. Sized as an XL, with a 45” chest. Please check below measurements before purchasing.
